Based in Los Angeles, I specialize in concert and event photography that aims to document the mood, energy, and emotional connection of live performances. I’ve been going to shows since I was a kid, and while I was never musically gifted myself, I always wanted to find a way to contribute to a scene that has been such a huge part of my life.
I have a deep appreciation for music in all its forms. Whether it’s a country songwriter in an intimate club, a pop artist commanding a packed room, a hip-hop performer feeding off the crowd’s energy, or a black metal band shrouded in smoke and stage lights, I’m drawn to the unique atmosphere every live show creates. My goal is to capture those moments honestly and preserve the connection between artists and their audience.
I learned the basics of photography in a black-and-white film class at Los Angeles City College (s/o Professor Marlos). Shooting film on my trusty Pentax K1000 taught me not only how to frame and compose an image, but also how to be intentional with every press of the shutter—film ain’t cheap. I entered the digital realm after buying my old roommate’s Canon Rebel T5, and quickly became the person behind the camera on trips, at parties, and wherever memories were being made. Today, I bring that same approach to live music photography, looking for the candid moments and genuine connections that make every show unique.
